We Bought A Zoo, Awwww Cute

We Bought A Zoo is so cute and funny and I surpisingly liked this movie. It's a good famiy movie, cute for the children and funny for the adults. There are good preformances by the adults and even by the children. The little girl, Rosie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones), was super cute and funny.
Benjamin Mee's (Matt Damon) wife has died six months ago and his family is still struggling with this loss. His daughter, Rosie, is dealing with the death of her mom fairly well, but the son, Dylan (Colin Ford) is having lots of problems. Benjamin decides that he needs to move and his brother, Duncan (Thomas Haden Church) agrees with him. Benjamin goes on a house tour and finds the most perfect house for his family, but with the house comes a zoo. He decides it will be good for his family and moves to the house and will keep the zoo going. The zoo manager, Kelly (Scarlett Johansson), doesn't think that Benjamin can do it. There is a lot of work and a lot of money that goes into the zoo. The zoo does really good for Rosie, but Dylan just is upset with his dad. Dylan does make a new friend at the zoo, Lily (Elle Fanning). To get the zoo up and running, they have to pass inspection with a really mean dude from the USDA.
This movie was really funny and had a lot of family love and drama. I laughed a lot and was touched in my heart. It was cute and a good family movie. This movie also based on a true story of the Mee family who still ownes the zoo. Movie is rate PG for some language and theatrical elements.

The Darkest Hour, Pretty Decent

So The Darkest Hour was a pretty decent movie. There was some good action and a solid enough plot line to entertain for an hour and a half. There was some logical science around it too, but the alien (once you finally see it) is pretty lame.
The movie is set in Moscow, Russia. Sean (Emile Hirsch) and Ben (Max Minghella) are in Moscow to try to promote their business, but get shut down. So to drown their sorrows, they go to a Russian night club where they meet two pretty girls, Natalie (Olivia Thirlby) and Anne (Rachael Taylor). They are having lots of fun until all the power and electronics go off. Curious, they all go outside to see yellow lights falling from the sky. One of the lights lands in front of them and then goes invisible. A cop goes to poke the spot where the light was before and gets turned into dust. The people realize they are under attack and rush back into the club to try to take cover. The alien light follows them in and starts dusting everyone. Our hero four and their business rival, Skyler (Joel Kinnaman) end up in the basement of the club and hid there for five days. They finally have to go outside and they decide to try to make it to the US embassy. That plan doesn't work cause everyone is dead, but they did learn that the alien lights make all the electronics light up when they are near. So they use lights as warning signals and they also find out a way to hide from the aliens.
I wont say more about the movie so not to spoil more of it, but it was pretty good and if you like alien movies, this would be one to check out. The drama is good and there is some what of a romantic subplot for those who like that. If you don't want to spend money at the theater for it, it is defiantly one to rent. Rated PG-13 for si-fy action and some language.

First Trailer for Prometheus (6/8/2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/#lb-vi2035129881

First trailer for the movie Prometheus. This kind of makes me think of Alien mixed with 2001: A Space Odyssey. I didn't like Space Odyssey but I do like Alien. I guess I will have to wait for more trailers to figure if I want to see it.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Awesome

Well Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was pretty dang awesome. Well awesome if you like action, explosions, hot dudes, awesome technology, and all that stuff. I especially liked Jeremy Renner cause he is really hot.
The movie starts with an operative running from people but then getting shot by an assassin. Then to Benji (Simon Pegg) and Jane (Paula Patton) breaking Ethan (Tom Curise) out of a Russian jail. They need him to get in to the Kremlin to get secret papers on a bad guy who just stole Russian nuclear missile launch codes. But it turns out that the files had already been taken by another person and that person plans to blow up the Kremlin to hide the fact that he took those files. Well the bombing of the Kremlin gets put on Ethan and his team. So the Secretary of the IMF tells Ethan that he has to find the guy who bombed the Kremlin, but the Secretary gets shot and Ethan and analysis Brandt (Jeremy Renner) have to get back to the team and follow the clues to get the codes back and stop the bad guy.
The movie was soo boss. They go to Dubai and are hanging out the windows of the tallest building and there is a sand storm and they go to Mumbai and chase people and all this awesome stuff. If you like the Mission Impossible movies, then you will like this one. If you like all the other things I mentioned above, then you would like this movie. If you are just bored and want to go to a movie, then go to this one. The movie is rated PG-13 for action and violence and some swearing.

The Muppets, Freaking Hilarious

The Muppets movie is sooo freaking hilarious. I was laughing soo hard and there was some awesome music (AC/DC, Jefferson Starship, etc.). It was funny and awesome and rated PG so its good for children.
The movie is a story about a kid/muppet named Walter and his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary's girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams). They are going to LA to the Muppets studio. At the Muppets Studio, Walter overhears a greedy tyrant Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) is going to buy the studio to get the oil under the studio. Walter gets Gary and Mary to help him talk to Kermit so they can fight Tex. Kermit figures they have to get the gang back together and do a telethon to raise 10 million dollars to buy the studio back. They go on a road trip to collect all the Muppets and then pitch their idea for the telethon. They get their time slot but have a limited time to set it all up.
This movie was super funny and full of great songs and some funny dancing. If you are a fan of the Muppets, this is a movie for you. If you like cute, happy movies, this is for you. If you like family movies, then check this movie out. I loved it and I think everyone will like it and enjoy bringing their family to see it. :)
