Sucker Punch

I started this post on Saturday, March 26, and I have been so busy that I haven't been able to finish until now so enjoy.
For my birthday, I got to see the movie Sucker Punch and I really liked it. It was a pretty cool movie. There was a lot of awesome music and graphics and fighting action. The movie is about a girl, Baby Doll, whose mom dies and leaves her fortune to Baby Doll and her little sister. The stepdad does not like that and after a drunken fit decides to go and rape the girls. Baby Doll gets a gun to stop him but accidentally shoots and kills her sister. The stepdad decides to put her in a mental institution to keep her away from the police. At the mental institute, a doctor is coming in 5 days to give her a lobotomy. Baby Doll goes into a fantasy reality to cope with the things that are happening to her which starts to bring some of the cool graphics. Baby Doll has 5 days to escape and she gets help from the other girls, Sweet Pea, Rocket, Blondie, and Amber. They have to collect things to get them out; a map, a key, fire, and a knife. When they go and get these things is when the alternate alternate reality happens and all the graphics and cool stuff is. They have to gather these things without being caught by the person in charge, Blue, or they will all get in trouble.
This movie was super cool looking and was not only enjoyable to 17 year old boys. There was awesome music, graphics, fighting, and costumes. My favorite costume was the one Sweet Pea wore in the alternate alternate reality (not the most modest, but certainly cool). I will try to find a good picture and put it up. The storyline was all about never giving up and fighting to be heard. I really enjoyed it. My mom thought it was kind of weird, so I guess not for all audiences, but oh well. I would give this movie a 70%.

Clash of the Titans 2

Guess what? They are filming a Clash of the Titans 2. I had read that they were planning on making sequels after the first one and I just found the description of the second movie Wrath of the Titans. It sounds pretty freakin sweet.

"A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Sam Worthington) -the demigod son of Zeus-is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind'' (imbd.com).

I don't know about you, but this sounds pretty freakin awesome and I'm really excited for it. On imbd it is listed as filming, but there is a release date which is March 30, 2012. Guess what I'm doing for my 21st birthday? Haha. Well I'm pretty excited. We will have to keep waiting for a trailer. Tell everyone you heard it here first (if that is the case).

Epic Cake Failure

Well Friday was my birthday and I wanted to put up a picture of the epic cake failure. I still love the cake because of the effort put in and the awesome storyline of the picture and how awesome the cake came out.
I came home from class and they hadn't started the cake so they ran into their room as soon as I came home. I was going home to see a movie and they hid my keys to distract me and they had to delay me. Well I told them I was going to leave cause I found my keys and they told me not to leave. So they brought out the cake and told me it was suppose to be a Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Supernatural cake. They showed me the picture of what it was suppose to be and I laughed incredibly hard. Well here is the picture. Try to figure it out.
Ahhhhh! The picture didn't come out. Well you can still sort of see it.

First "True" Captain America Trailer

The first official trailer for the Captain America movie is now out. Watching this trailer you can totally tell that in the first part that is not Chris Evans real body. His head doesn't fit the wimpy body at all. Then he gets turned into Captain America and then it totally works.

Check it out!!!

Battle: Los Angeles

Battle: LA is a good movie. I was full of aliens and explosions and gun fights and awesomeness! In the movie, asteroids start falling to Earth along the coasts of major cities around the world, the thing is though that the asteroids are really aliens coming to take our planets water. The marines have been deployed in Los Angeles to go and fight the aliens while they gather civilians behind enemy lines. Staff Sargent Nantz (Aaron Eckhart) is put in a platoon under the command of 2nd Lieutenant William Martinez, who is a new kid. The team goes into the city to get to a police station to pick up civilians before the Air Force drops bombs over the city wipe it out. They encounter ground forces of the aliens and have a hard time against them. At the police station, they get 5 people and 3 of them are children. They then have to get out of the city and back to Santa Monica airport before the bombs.
This movie is not really your basic alien invasion movies. This movie is from the view of the soldiers who have to fight and some lame action person who has to figure out who to kill the aliens while the soldiers fight and die around them. There was also a lot of action and blowing things up and shooting aliens. Sad to say that most of the soldiers die and don't make it home, but Michelle Rodriguez doesn't die and I was surprised because she dies in everything. There are some sad parts, corny parts, and overly dramatic parts, but overall it was really good. This movie kicks butt and is only rated PG-13, so check it out!!

I Am Number Four = Good

Saw the movie I Am Number Four and it was a good movie. My parents said that it looked like a teen movie (which it is) but they ended up liking it. There was action, a crappy and pushed romance, hot dudes, and aliens. My kind of movie, except for the crappy romance.
The movie starts off with Number Three killed by Mogadorians and Number Four (Alex Pettyfer) sees it and gets a burn with Number Three's sign on his leg. Number Four is an alien child from another planet that got destroyed by Mogadorians. The nine children that came to Earth with guardians are special and have special powers. They have to keep hiden or the Mogadorians will kill them and take over Earth. Some people see the burn and his guardian, Henri (Timothy Olyphant) moves them to Paradise, Ohio. There, Number Four/John meets some new people. Sarah, the photographer girl who was part of the cool crowd but now is not and John likes her, Sam, the geek who everyone picks on and becomes Johns friend, and Mark (Jake Able), the jock who is mean to John and used to date Sarah. While in Paradise, Henri is looking into a guy who used to help the good guys and is the dad of Sam. Sam and his dad would go looking for the aliens. Well John blows his cover and the Mogadorians find him but Number Six also finds him and they team up.
This movie was super cool with a bunch of hot dudes and action. If you like either, go see the movie. This movie was based on a book that was recently written and there looks to be more books the way and more movies by the way this one ended, which rocks. The romance was super cheesy and kind of forced and fake. There were some parts where I did roll my eyes, but over all it wasn't super corny. There was also a dog!
I hope you all go and see it.

Resident Evil: Afterlife

This weekend, I also watched the fourth movie in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Afterlife. ZOMBIE MOVIE!! I have been waiting for awhile for this movie and I was not disappointed. This movie had tons of action and a freakin awesome soundtrack to it. If you haven't seen the first three, you probably will be lost, but you should be sure to see the third one because this one is directly off of the third one.
Alice (Milla Jovovich) is taking revenge on the Umbrella Corp and starts out the movie by destroying the Tokyo facility with her clones. While in Japan, the head dude of Umbrella injects Alice with a serum that neutralizes the T-virus in her and makes her human again. After Japan, Alice goes north to Alaska to find the survivors from the third movie in a place called Arcadia. When she gets there, there is nothing there but she does find Claire (Ali Larter). Claire doesn't remember anything due to his weird spider thing that was on her chest from the Umbrella Corp. Well, Alice takes Claire and they head to Los Angeles. There they find a small group of survivors. They are hold up in a prison and have found Arcadia. Arcadia is a ship and they can't get to it because every zombie in the area is at the prison, attracted to the humans. In the prison, the survivors have a solider locked up who says that he can get them out. The man is named Chris (Wentworth Miller) and he is Claire's brother. The group doesn't trust him, but Alice lets him out because they are desperate. Well they do manage to get out of the prison, but Arcadia is not what it seems.
This movie was awesome and I loved it. There was like techno rock music in the background and zombies and guns and things blowing up and a hot dude, Miller. For all Resident Evil fans, zombie fans, and action fans, rent this movie and watch it. It was great and worth your time. :) I hope you all like it as much as I did.

Killers Movie

This weekend, I watched the movie Killers with Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher. The movie was alright and I kind of enjoyed it. The movie was about a women, Jen (Heigl), on a vacation in Nice, France with her parents and meets a man, Spencer (Kutcher). Spencer is a secret CIA agent and decides to get out of the killing business and marries Jen. Three years later, Spencer's old boss calls him for help. Spencer says no, but when people come to kill him, he has to check it out. Jen gets pulled in the middle of this all and goes with Spencer. They go to see his old boss, but he is dead. So they have to fight off a ton of assassins and find out why there is a 20 million dollar bounty on Spencer.
The movie had lots of action with a car chase and lots of shooting and fighting. If you like action, this is a good movie and if you like comedy, this movie was mildly funny. The twist at the end that will make you gasp. And I normally don't like Ashton Kutcher, but he actually looked good in this movie. So that is another reason to watch this movie. :)

Movie The Eagle

I just went and saw the movie The Eagle with Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell and I enjoyed it a lot. It was a good movie full of action and adventure and messages about honor and friendship and stuff. "In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia - to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father's memory, and retrieve the lost legion's golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth" (imdb.com).

The movie starts with Marcus coming to take command of a Roman fort in Britain. He starts with repairing his fort and getting his men in good ready shape, which was a good thing cause the Brits came and attacked one night and the Romans won that night. In the morning, the Brits came with a bigger army and Marcus lead 50 of his men out to fight them and recapture some of his men. The Brits came out with some chariots and Marcus called a retreat. When the chariots were almost on his men, Marcus turned and charged the chariots and hit one of the chariot drivers with a spear. That saved his men and wounded Marcus. Marcus was then sent to his uncle's house to heal where he learned that he got an honourable discharge from the service because of his heroism and injuries. He then gets a slave, Esca, and he decides that to regain his family's honor, he will go and get the Eagle back. So he and Esca, set out north and goes in search and comes across the eagle, but it is in the hands of the Seal Tribe of the North.

This movie was full of action and sword fights and honor and things like that. I really enjoyed it. The acting was pretty good and the scenery was amazing. In the end, the two men learn friendship and loyalty. They become friends and Esca no longer is Marcus's slave, but his friend. This is something I would recommend to everyone, especially people who like history because the basis of this story is true, the disappearance of the Ninth Legion. Also, before the movie I saw a trailer for the movie Priest and was even more excited for this movie. Check out my post on the movie Priest so you can be excited also. Keep reading this week for more movie reviews!!

Movie Beastly

I just went and saw the movie Beastly this afternoon. It's not too bad, well not as bad as the critics said. Now I am watching Flags of Our Fathers to clear the sappy out of my system. Haha.
Well this movie is an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. So you pretty much know the storyline (unless you're a weirdo and don't know Beauty and the Beast and you had a poor childhood). This dude Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is the cool and hottest dude in school and he uses that to get everything he wants. In his home life, his dad is a famous newsanchor and doesn't pay attention to his son at all. Well Alex disses on this crazy witch girl and she puts a spell on him that makes him ugly. He has to find somebody to love him by the end of the year or he will stay that way forever. Well this girl he met at school named Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens) who he kind of likes. When he goes all ugly, he stalker-like watches her window. One night, she goes looking for her dad who is getting threatened by a drug dealer. Kyle saves her from getting shot by the dude and her dad kills one of the drug dealers and the other dealer says he will hunt down Lindy and kill her. So Kyle tells her dad that she can live with him and he will keep her safe. Well that is where the movie gets going on the finding true love crap.
The movie ultimatly was good but had a bunch of really corny parts and things that made me say, "Oh gosh." Rottentomatoes gave the movie a 17%, but I say that this is a movie for teenage girls (concidering that I am a teenagers for a couple more weeks) who want to be entertained, so I mostly liked it. I would give this movie a 65%. Besides, it has a really hot guy in it. :) And Neil Patric Harris is in it and he is pretty funny (and kind of cute). I say go see this movie if you just want a sappy girl movie to entertain you.
Now I will get back to my war movie and be sure to check my blog out next week as I go see more movies over my spring break. :)
