I like how Phlegmatic or Spock lover, or etc. (I don't think they wish to have their name posted here....) But Captain Kirk in their writings is exactly how I pictured him! Something William Shatner could never pull off as an actor. The TRUE Captain Kirk is told of in Star Trek: The TRUE Story..... ;)
Shatner made Kirk you dork. We wouldn't have the Shatner that we think of without Shatner. But yes Captian Kirk in Star Trek: The True Story is way hot. Dang! I can't wait to read more.
Yes it is true that Shatner made the Kirk we all know and love today...and there would be none better to fulfill that role..Don't get me wrong I totally agree with that!
But I am just saying that Shatner could not pull of some parts of Captain Kirk that the character implied....Let me explain what I mean:
For example, Kirk's character implied that he was really fit and in peak physical condition (just one of the many things about him that dazzled all the ladies) but......William Shatner on occasion in some episodes would kinda show signs of getting tired or being out of breath after running for a short distance. The character of Kirk would not have worn out so easily but Shatner did.
And I picture the Captain as being a little bit slimmer than Shatner was... ;)
To end this long rant, I'm just simply saying that Shatner's role as Kirk had some human flaws.....haha...if Spock weren't so composed he would slap me for that line!
Goodness gracious. But quiet true. I did make my Kirk a little more Kirk than Shatner in my head too. Well he does have human flaws and Spock wouldn't slap you for that he would just know that you agree with him. :) But we still love Kirk.
I know I've said this before, but he does not look like the man he once was. Ha ha! :P
